Dear Student,
Rinderprest is an infectious disease caused by virus, especially in cattle. African cattle were infected by this viral disease during late 1880s. People in Africa were mostly dependent on cattle and dairy. As the disease was infected and killed approximately 90% of the cattle throughout the country, the economic status of the country came to a standstill. European took advantage of this loss of Africa. As a result, Africans were forced to work for the European as labours. Their monopoly started and spread throughout the country as they utilised the left scarce cattle and thus conquer subdue Africa.
