Ramananda was responsible for spreading Bhakti ideals in northern India.
Vallabhacharya was a Telugu philosopher who built a temple for Lord Krishna on the Govardhan Hills near Mathura.
Surdas was a blind poet and musician, expressed his devotion for Krishna through his compositions Sursagara
Mirabai was a devotee of Lord Krishna and composed bhajans expressing her devotion.
Chaintanyadeva popularised the worship of Krishna through songs and dances.
