Sophie convinced Jansie to keep her meeting with Danny a secret by saying that if she tells it to anybody, people will queue up in front of her house and ask her dad about what is the news related to Danny and if it is really true. Her dad hadn't believed her and if people ask him again about it, he would be angry with her. She tells Jansie that her dad would murder her. She also added that her mother too wouldn't like it and Jansie knows how her mother would react and thus, she should keep it a secret.
