How did the Taj Mahal change its colour?

Taj Mahal is made of marble and is under threat because of acid rain. Acid rain is formed when, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide released from vehicles and chimneys mix with droplets of rain and turn the rainwater acidic. This acid rain when falls on marble, damages it. Hence the color of Taj Mahal is changing.
