How do animals adapt themselves to the rise in temperature?
Open in App
Solution
Animals:
Animals adapt to the different mechanisms to cope with high temperatures as they become inactive and reduce productivity.
In the desert, to prevent intense heat, animals like rats, lizards, and snakes stay in deep sand burrows and out only at night when it is cooler.
Some animals become inactive by reducing the rate of water loss and heat through perspiration, breathing, etc.
Many animals survive in extreme temperatures by avoiding it and becoming nocturnal.
