How do carbohydrates get converted into fats ?

If you eat too many calories in the form of carbohydrates the body reach to the storage capacity for glycogen formed through the process of glycogenesis. The excess carbohydrate or sugars move into liver where it is converted to triglycerids (fat) and further transported to the fat cells for long term storage.
