Solution
Chrysophyte
:
Chrysophyte is a phylum of the kingdom Protista.
The members of this are also called algae. Because these can do photosynthesis.
Diatoms (brown algae) and desmids (golden algae) are included in this phylum.
These organisms are found in both fresh and marine water.
These are unicellular and microscopic.
Reproduction in chrysophytes-
Chrysophytes reproduce asexually and form spores.
The spores are flagellated and motile. Also called zoospores.
In chrysophytes, flagella are only found during reproduction.
