Open in App
Solution

Cnidarians:

  1. Cnidarians belong to the cnidaria phylum of non-chordates.
  2. Cnidarians have cnidoblasts in tentacles. That's why these are called cnidarians.
  3. Cnidoblasts are secretory organs that have cnidocyte cells. These cells are explosive.
  4. As we know that cnidarians are aquatic, so they feed on other aquatic animals such as fishes, jellyfish, turtles etc.
  5. To protect themselves from the prey, they catch the prey with the help of tentacles.
  6. The sting in nematocyst cells is released on prey and makes it immobilize.
  7. In this way, cnidarians keep themselves protected from prey.
