Question

How do contraceptive pills help in avoiding pregnancy?

Open in App
Solution

Contraceptive pills basically contain synthetic hormones. These hormones are similar to the hormones produced by the body and they are responsible for ovarian and uterine cycles of the female's body. Due to changes in the level of hormones, these two cycles are tightly controlled. During this controling process, the egg either does not get fertilised or does not get implanted and pregnancy is prevented.
