Solution

Dear student,

In Molluscs gills are respiratory organs rather than excretory. They have well-developed excretory system consists of tubular nephridia organized as kidneys, that collect liquid wastes from the coelom and dump them in the mantle cavity, where the waste is pumped out of the shell.
