How do good animal husbandry practices benefit farmers?
The animal-based farming practices are undertaken by Indian farmers along with agriculture as mixed farming. However, the progressive farmers take up one of these practices on a commercial basis.
Benefits to the farmer:-
(a) Good animal husbandry practices increase the production of animal products by producing better breeds.
(b) It increases the profit of farmers.
(c) Used to keep livestock healthy and increase their longevity.
(d) Time and effort need not be spent on nursing the sick animals and preventing other animals from falling sick.
(e) Improved animal husbandry practices help to meet the demands for milk, meat, and eggs.
