Question

How do I calculate G?

Open in App
Solution

To calculate delta G:

  1. Gibbs free energy is the energy which is used to calculate the amount of work done in a thermodynamic system where temperature and pressure are constant.
  2. To calculate Gibbs free energy, Change in free energy(ΔG)= Change in enthalpy(ΔH) Product of temperature(T) and change in entropy(ΔS). The equation is (ΔG=ΔHTΔS).

Thus,(ΔG) can be calculated by using this formula (ΔG=ΔHTΔS).
