Intestinal infection:

Gastrointestinal infection can be caused by viruses, bacteria, and parasites that cause inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, and gastroenteritis. These might infect both, the stomach and the small intestine.

Symptoms of gastrointestinal infection:

  1. Loss of appetite: decreased appetite is when your desire to eat is reduced.
  2. The medical term for a loss of appetite is anorexia
  3. Nausea: a feeling of sickness with an inclination to vomit.
  4. Mucus in stool: A small amount of mucus in stool is usually nothing to worry about.
  5. Blood in stool: blood present in stool
  6. Diarrhea: Diarrhea is the condition of having at least three loose, liquid, or watery bowel movements each day. It often lasts for a few days and can result in dehydration due to fluid loss.
  7. Fever: A fever is a temporary increase in body temperature, typically as a result of an illness. A fever is a sign that our body cells are fighting and eliminating several infections from our body.
  8. Stomach cramps
  9. Muscle aches: A muscle cramp is a painful contraction or tightening of the muscles for a few seconds.
