How do microorganisms and pathogens differ?
Microorganisms:
An organism that can be seen only through a microscope. Microorganisms include bacteria, protozoa, algae, and fungi. Bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, and algae are located within the environment.
Pathogens:
A pathogen is any disease-producing agent, especially a virus, bacterium, or other microorganisms.
