Solution

Mosses:

  1. Mosses are primitive, small, and non-vascular systems, the conductive tissues is absent which might be used for transportation of water and minerals.
  2. So, the method of passive diffusion takes place i.e. osmosis, by which movement of water takes place from high concentration to low concentration.
  3. Mosses are primary producers that build biomass through photosynthesis.
  4. They enrich ecosystems with organic matter, forming the basis of the food chain.
  5. Mosses trap airborne soil particles, reduce soil erosion, and retain water.
