How do pressure groups and interest groups share power in Democracy?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Pressure groups and interest groups share power in a democracy by trying to influence governments and political parties. Pressure groups and interest groups do not directly hold political power. But they can lobby with the government and political parties to introduce legislation and policies that favour their interests. Members of pressure groups and interest groups can also become a part of government committees and try to influence the policy making pricess. That is another way to share power.

Regards.
