Receptor tyrosine kinases are cell surface receptors with intrinsic enzymatic activity. It is a part of the protein receptor. These kinases are involved in signalling pathways which activate RTK that are soluble in protein or membrane-bound hormones, growth factors, and cytokines. These kinases undergo receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation
