Question

How do Rhizobium help in replenishment of soil?

Open in App
Solution

Rhizobium is the symbiotic bacteria present in the roots of the leguminous plants.

Sometimes, plants fail to absorb nitrogen from the atmosphere. The presence of rhizobium generates rhizobium and fulfils the nitrogen shortage of the plants.

The conversion of nitrates into nitrogen with the help of these bacteria is mainly known as nitrification
