Solution
The seeds and fruits are the result of fertilization or sexual reproduction in plants. The ovary in angiosperms develop into fruits and ovules develop into seeds enclosed within the fruit.
Once pollination and fertilization occurs, the zygote is formed and the ovary begins to differentiate into fruit. The outer wall of the ovary begins to differentiate into pericarp whereas the seed develop within the fruit itself.
Once fertilization occurs, mature ovule begins to differentiate into seeds.
