How do solids, liquids and gases differ in respect of volume and shape?

  1. As we know there are three state of materials: Solid, Liquid and Gas.
  2. In solids materials we have a definite shape and the volume of solids is also fixed and they are rigid and incompressible.
  3. In liquids we have a definite volume but shape of liquids do not remain fix. and liquids can easily flow and are more compressible than solids.
  4. In gases materials, we have no definite volume or shape and gases are highly compressible and gases can fill up all the available space.
