Instructions:Define who a MLA is and explain the process of how a MLAs become ministers after elections.
Solution:
The Party which gets a majority in the legislative forms the government.
The legislature is the lawmaking body of a state. Each state in India has its own legislative assembly and makes laws for the respective state. Its members are called the Members of Legislative Assembly or MLAs.
The MLAs of the majority party elect their leader who becomes the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister forms a cabinet which includes MLAs of his/her party as ministers.
