How do some species of insects and frogs avoid being dected easily by the predators

Most species are the prey for potential predators(who trap the species in order to kill them), these species can be a big one like lion, wolves and can be a small one. There is always the first line of defense which is possessed by these species against predators.One way is to do is by minimising the sound in case of detection of prey like crickets gets silent when they detect the predator ,other way is to evolve camouflage colouration so that the colour of the body gets blend with the environment.There can be many another way of defense adopted by the prey like frogs and insects.
