Question

How do the following factors cause variations in the atmospheric pressure :
1) density of the air
2) height of a place above the mean sea level
3) amount of moisture present in the air

Solution

More denser the air is more is the atmospheric pressure as higher density means higher mass of air per unit of volume.
The higher we go the thinner the air becomes ,at higher altitude there is lesser air present causing lower atmospheric pressure.
The humidity is linked to air moisture that air present per unit of air ,more moisture cause more humidity means less atmospheric pressure as the air in per unit is decreased.
