How do the gases exert pressure?
The pressure exerted by a gas is due to the collisions between the particles and with the walls of the container
Since particles of gases move in every possible direction, they continuously collide with other particles and also with the walls of the container.
When the particles hit a wall of the container, they exert an unbalanced force on it.
Pressure is defined as force applied per unit area.
Thus, the gases exert a pressure on the walls of the container.
