1. Via guttation (exudation of water droplets from xylem sap) and transpiration (evaporation of water from stomata) excess water is lost through the leaves of plants.
2. Oxygen is excreted through stomatal pores during the process of photosynthesis (synthesis of chemical energy from sunlight).
3. CO₂ is excreted out from the stomatal aperture of leaves during respiration.
