Question

Solution

A rise in demand for rice (even when its price was rising) is to be ascribed to expectations of the people in flood-ravaged Jammu & Kashmir. They are crazy to buy more of rice even at a higher price fearing that rice may not be available in the near future as most stocks of it in the state had been washed away.
