Question

How do you calculate concentration from titration?

Open in App
Solution

Using, MAVA=MBVB

Let's assume you are titrating a strong acid (10 mL unknown concentration HCl) with a strong base (1.0 M NaOH). It takes 25mL of NaOH to neutralize the acid.

MA=MBVBVA

or MA=1.0M×25mL10 mL

MA=2.5M HCl

Thus we can calculate the concentration from titration.
