3. It is the ratio of velocity and wavelength of a wave. i.e, $f=\frac{\nu }{\lambda }$, where $v$ and $\lambda$ is the velocity and wavelength of light.

Time period

1. Time period is the necessary time to complete a single wave.
2. The unit of time period is second.
3. Time period is defined by the formulae, $T=\frac{2\pi }{\omega }=\frac{1}{f}$, where $\omega$ is the angular frequency of a wave and f is its frequency.
4. $\omega =2\pi f.$

Calculation of time period and frequency

If we know the velocity and wavelength of the wave before, then it is easy to find out the frequency by the above formulae $f=\frac{\nu }{\lambda }$ . after calculation of the frequency we can measure the time period using $T=\frac{2\pi }{\omega }=\frac{1}{f}$.
