y=Acos(Bx+C)+D;A and B is not equal to 0. Where

A is the amplitude .

B is related to the period of one cycle equal by 2π/|B|.

C is the phase shift or horizontal shift.

Dis the displacement or vertical shift.

If we consider, Cand D is equal to zero, then,

Y=AcosBx

Period =2π/|B|.
