Definition of truth table :

A truth table is a basic method to describe the Boolean function. The Boolean variables can either be 0 or 1. The inputs and the output in a truth table will be 0 or 1. The truth table describes the output of the system for the given inputs. The truth table must have a column for each of the inputs and the corresponding output. For a not gate there are only two columns, one input which is either 1or 0, and the corresponding output. or

A truth table is a table or chart used to illustrate and determine the truth value of propositions and the validity of their resulting argument.

For example, a very basic truth table would simply be the truth value of a proposition p and its negation, or opposite, not p(denoted by the symbol( or )
