Definition of composite function :

A function whose values are found from two given functions by applying one function to an independent variable and then applying the second function to the result and whose domain consists of those values of the independent variable for which the result yielded by the first function lies in the domain of the second.

Representation of composite function :

Let $f:A\to B$ and

$g:B\to C$be two functions.

Then the composition of $f$and $g$, is denoted by $g\circ f,$ is defined as the function

$g\circ f:A\to C$ given by

$g\circ f\left(x\right)=g(f(x\left)\right),\forall x\in A$.

Hence the composition function is a function whose values are found from two given functions.
