Energy used by a leaping frog is actually the energy obtained from the Sun.

Sun is the ultimate source of energy for all living organisms. Energy from the sun is trapped by photosynthetic producers. This energy is transferred in the food chain from producers to herbivores to carnivores and so on. A frog is a carnivore and it feeds on herbivorous organisms.
Hence, The energy utilized to leap is derived from sunlight.
