When our blood sugar is too high:

  1. Hyperglycemia, or high blood sugar, predominantly affects diabetics.
  2. It happens when our body fails to create enough insulin.

  4. People who do not have diabetes can be affected by hyperglycemia.
  5. When we're sick or stressed, our blood sugar levels might skyrocket.
  6. This happens when our body creates hormones to fight off sickness.

  2. Increased urination frequency
  3. Tiredness
  4. Breathing difficulty
