Question

How do you find the minimum value of a linear equation ?

Open in App
Solution

Finding minimum value of linear equation:

A linear equation does not have a minimum or maximum value.

General form of the linear equation is y=mx+b.

When we substitute the larger value of x, we will always get larger y value.

There is no minimum value as the slope will always allow us to find another point lower than the one we had before.

Hence, there is no minimum value of a linear equation.
