How do you know if a compound is identical or enantiomers?
The differences between identical and enantiomeric compound is given below:
S. No. | Identical Compound | Enantiomeric compound |
1 | A compound is said to be an identical compound when it is exactly the same and cannot be differentiated. | A compound is said to be an enantiomer when the compound is non-superimposible mirror images of each other. |
2 | Identical compounds are optically inactive | Enantiomeric compounds are optically active. |
