  • According to Le Chatelier's principle, if their is a disturbance in equilibrium condition then the position of equilibrium shifts to oppose the disturbance in the equilibrium.
  • The addition of more reactants to the system shifts the equilibrium to the right.
  • The addition of more products to the system shifts the equilibrium to the left.
  • Using the same logic, we can assume that by adding a product to a system, the equilibrium will shift left.
