How do you measure length and width
Measuring length and width:
Step 1: Measure length
1. Arrange your object so that the longer dimension is horizontal and the shortest dimension is vertical.
2. Place the end of your measuring tool at the left edge of the object.
3. Extend the measuring tool along the entire horizontal edge of the space until you reach the right edge.
4. Note the number from the measuring tool where the right length edge ends and write this number down on your paper, this is the length measurement.
Step 2: Measure width
1. Place the end of the measuring tool at the top of the object.
2. Extend the measuring tool along the entire vertical edge of the space until you reach the bottom of the object.
3. Note the number from the measuring tool where the width edge ends and write this number down on your paper, his is the width measurement.
Hence, length and width can be measured as stated above.
