Open in App
Solution

ECG:

  1. An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test used to check your heart's rhythm and electrical activity, by recording electric signals from the heart.
  2. The patient must be at complete rest during an ECG as moving, talking or even shivering can interfere with the results.

Ways to relax during an ECG:

  1. Take slow, deep breaths.
  2. Use relaxation techniques, such as visualizing yourself somewhere else.
  3. Some doctors may also ask the patient to hold their breath as the ECG is taken.
