  1. In periodic table the group 16 elements are called Chalcogens.
  2. The chalcogens consists of 5 elements : Oxygen(O), Selenium(Se), Tellurium(Te), Sulphur(S) and Polonium(Po).
  3. They have a general electronic configuration of ns2np4 where n=Principal quantum number
