Showing that a function is continuous on an interval:

Let f(x) be a function given

Now f(x) is continuous in the interval (a,b) if f(x) is defined at every point on (a,b)

Or if f(x) is differentiable on interval (a,b) we can say that f(x) is continuous on the interval (a,b).
