Showing that a function is continuous on an interval:

Let $f\left(x\right)$ be a function given

Now $f\left(x\right)$ is continuous in the interval $(a,b)$ if $f\left(x\right)$ is defined at every point on $(a,b)$

Or if $f\left(x\right)$ is differentiable on interval $(a,b)$ we can say that $f\left(x\right)$ is continuous on the interval $(a,b)$.
