We know that, tanπ4=1

So, (1+tanx)(1-tanx) can be written as tanπ4+tanx1-tanπ4tanx.

Since, tan(A+B)=tanA+tanB1-tanAtanB

tan(π4+x)=tanπ4+tanx1-tanπ4tanx

Hence, (1+tanx)(1-tanx)can be simplified as tan(π4+x).
