Question

How do you write a probability statement?

Open in App
Solution

Explanation for the correct option:

The probability is defined as the percentage likelihood of an event occurring or going to happen. In mathematical terms, the probability of an event is equal to the number of favorable events divided by the total number of events.

i.e. P(E)=n(E)n(S)

If a coin is tossed or flipped, then the probability of getting a Tail will be;

P(T)=12

Since the total number of events here is getting both Head and Tail and the required number of events, i.e., getting tail is only 1.
