How does a DC voltmeter work?
One such device that is frequently used on board and has numerous applications is a permanent magnet moving coil (PMMC). Galvanometer and D'alvanometer are two more names for this instrument that are frequently used.
DC Voltmeter:
A measuring tool called a voltmeter is used to determine the voltage between any two locations on an electric circuit. The Permanent Magnet Moving Coil galvanometer can function as a voltmeter if a resistor is connected in series with it.
Note: voltmeter is used in the measurement of voltage across any two points. voltmeter measures the peak value of the voltage. The voltmeter comprises an attenuator, and an amplifier followed by a meter.
