Dear Student,

a. Rain gauge is a tool which is used to measure amount of rainfall.
b. It is largely used by metrologist to measure the amount of precipitation.
c. A standard rain gauge consist of a funnel, in a inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, the measurement are marked in ​millimeters.
d. The graduated cylinder is
2 cm in radius, which is inside an outer cylinder maesuring 20 cm in diameter and 50 cm tall.
e. As the water falls, it gets collected in the inner cylinder through funnel and is measured accordingly.
f. The excess water gets overflowed in the outer cylinder and that gives us the total amount of rainfall.
