Question

how does adsorption of gases by solids depend on nature of adsorbate ?

Open in App
Solution

Adsorption of gases by solids depends on the nature of the adsorbate gas. Gases with high critical temperatures(easily liquefiable) are more readily adsorbed as the van der Waal's forces are strongest at their critical temperatures.
