Question

how does alloying of iron improve its qualities?

Open in App
Solution

Naturally occurring iron metal is soft and moldable. Thus, it cannot be used to make structures that require high strength. Thus, through alloying, we add small atoms of C atoms in iron lattice, so as to make it hard and strong. So, alloying of iron improves it's qualities.
