Open in App
Solution

Earthworm move with the help of rows of S- shaped tiny, stiff hair like projection, embedded in the pits in the middle of the each segment of the body except first, last and clitellum. Contraction and relaxation of these muscle helps to extend their body forward, and act as a principle role in locomotion. It also secrete some slimy substances which aid the process of locomotion.
