Answer- Article 15 of the Indian Constitution lays down two broad provisions to prevent discrimination-
It states that the state shall not discriminate against any citizen on the basis of caste, colour, religion, gender or place of birth.
It also states that no individual can be denied the right to access to shops, public places like restaurants, roads, bathing ghats or any other place dedicated to the use of the general public.
