Question

how does CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation work? (mechanism)

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a method of providing artificial ventilation to the patient suffering from cardiac arrest. In this procedure chest is compressed to allow breathing to occur when breathing has been stopped. Sometimes mouth to mouth resuscitation is also carried out where mouth to mouth air is blown in the patients lungs to initiate breathing.
