How does democracy improve the quality of decision making?Explain.

As,the democracy is meant for the welfare of the people where they choose their own representatives .The same representation represents many idea's which in turn can make a decision more sound and fruitful.Many people are consulted through meetings ,cabinets etc before passing a law or before formulation of a policy which is a sign of improvement in the quality of decision making.
